The Black Construction Group

The Black Construction Group (BCG) is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce. This SIG focuses on the unique needs of the construction community and provides business development, education, advocacy, and networking opportunities for its members.

High School Students

Construction Education Foundation

The Construction Education Foundation was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to construction industry workforce development in Colorado. With the public’s support, CEF creates opportunities for career advancement and workforce development through scholarships, education, innovations in training and a focus on technology. CEF also works with several partners in the industry to advance the construction profession.

High School Construction Connection

High School Construction Connection was implemented by AGC contractors at select High Schools. The program utilizes volunteer navigator teams (consisting of a general contractor representative, subcontractor representative and supplier representative) that will have interaction with participating high schools and serve as guides to a wealth of great information and career opportunities in the construction.

Careers in Construction

CIC, Careers in Contraction connects High Schoolers throughout Colorado with construction trades education.  Students learn to use their hands and minds through the nationally recognized curriculum from the Home Builders Institute (HBI).  The program allows students to work their way toward Department of Labor recognized Pre-Apprenticeship Certified Training (PACT) certificates which certify them as work-ready in a particular trade.

P-Tech

P-TECH, Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools, is a public education reform model focused on college attainment and career readiness. P-TECH schools span grades 9-14 and enable students to earn both a high school diploma and a no-cost, two-year postsecondary degree in a STEM field. Students participate in a range of workplace experiences, including mentorship, worksite visits and paid internships. Upon graduation, students have the academic and professional skills required to either continue their education in a four-year postsecondary institution or enter into entry-level careers in IT, healthcare, advanced manufacturing and other competitive fields.

Mile High Youth Corps

Mile High Youth Corps bring young people from diverse life experiences together to learn, work hard, and grow in service to community, the environment, and their own development.

Prosperity Denver (Denver Chamber)

Prosperity Denver Fund contributes to an equitable, prosperous Denver. Funded by a Denver sales tax. PDF intends for students to remain in the city after graduation, thereby applying their education to the local economy and strengthening the workforce.

Transportation and Construction Girl

We are committed to helping girls learn about financially sustainable careers in transportation & construction.

Transportation & Construction GIRL was created to draw attention to women in the transportation and construction industry and prompt others to join. Our goal is for women to push past the stereotypes and pursue a career in transportation and construction!

WomenBuild

Women Build provides a place for women to learn the skills needed to build a home, but that does not exclude men from participating. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.

WIC Waymakers

The Waymakers program is part of AGC Colorado’s month-long celebration of 2021 Women in Construction (WIC) Week. From project engineers, project managers, project coordinators, production leads, estimators, and installers to construction business founders, CEOs, COOs, and HR and sales team members, the Waymakers are representative of all of the incredible women who are waymaking and empowering and inspiring other women.

Emily Griffith Technical

Emily Griffith Technical College is a nationally accredited public college where one can propel their life forward and up. At EGTC one can prepare for their GED, improve their English or choose from among 28 dynamic career-preparation programs. These programs support Colorado’s economy by propelling their student’s lives forward by preparing for their desired career.

Pickens Technical

Pickens Technical College offers nearly 50 certificate programs to adults and high school students as part of the Aurora Public Schools. It provides students with the opportunity to acquire state-of-the-art skills, knowledge and work habits that will help them succeed in the workforce. Upon completion of most programs’ students will receive a certificate and transcript that is transferable to any community college or area technical school/college in Colorado in their area of training.

Construction Careers Now

Construction Careers Now (CCN) is a proven program that prepares students to begin a career in construction.  No experience is needed to enter the program and there is no cost. Introduction to variety of skilled trades and career paths

OSHA 10 Safety, Basic Construction Measurement, Building Techniques, Contractor Presentations, Resumes, Interviewing Skills, Career Coaching and includes a Hiring Fair.

The Master’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program

The Master’s Apprentice program is a faith-based organization that is all about changing lives for the better. Since 2013, this 501(c)(3) non-profit, pre-apprenticeship program has improved the lives of young adults by offering a bridge to a career in the skilled trades.   It also helps fulfill the huge demand for additional workers in the construction industry.
